As most know by now, TV icon Andy Griffith passed away on Tuesday in his native North Carolina at the age of 86.
I came across this tribute which was written by Ron Howard (who played Mr. Griffith’s son Opie on the “Andy Griffith Show in the 1960s) for the Los Angeles Times. Mr. Howard writes:
“Andy Griffith entertained us for decades on stage, via our radios, sound systems, TVs and up there on the silver screen. Comedy, drama or music, he brought his love of performing to each creative undertaking.”
Please take a moment to read the entire tribute, in which Mr. Howard shares his most treasured memories about Mr. Griffith.
